mocha punch recipe and jam session

This is my all time favorite party or shower drink to make and/or provide
Very simple and VERY tasty!

Mocha Punch
(I usually double the recipe - makes it easy to use up all the ice cream!)

1 1/2 qts water
1/2 c. chocolate drink mix (nesquik, ovaltine, etc)
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. instant coffee granules
1/2 gal vanilla ice cream
1/2 gal chocolate ice cream
garnish: whip cream

Bring water to a boil; remove from heat. Add drink mix, sugar, and coffee granules; stir until dissolved. Pour into a container; cover. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Remove from refrigerator at least 30 minutes before serving; shake or stir and pour into a punch bowl. Spoon in ice cream; stir until parially melted. Garnish with whipped cream. Serves about 25 (I don't necessarily agree with this...hence why I double it!)

We recently tried our hand at making strawberry jam! (the carrots are not included!)  Below is our jam making process in pictures! (recipe from the certo package)

(these are being frozen for future consumption)

If you're lucky - maybe one of these jars will end up at your house!
