Mirror, mirror on the wall...

Our latest home project (inspired by a pin on pinterest)

Take one blank, freshly painted wall....

Have a huge mirror you got for free like 5 years ago when the Bohemian Bean moved locations PLUS some fun thin fabric your mom helped you pick out (p.s. note that you might get twice as much as you actually need...)
Use hot glue, a husband to help you lift and spin the heavy mirror on the fabric, and make some cute little 'flower' clusters

Have your husband invite a friend over since you're pregnant and can't lift heavy things...and hang the mirror back up!

It may not look like much...but the mirror was scratched and yucky around the edge and it only took about 4 years of hanging in our house for us to find some inspiration and buy the products to make it over :)
We LOVE the finished product!!!

Home decor/Pinterest inspired project!

View my 'Accomplished' board to see the original pin
Or click on the website directly HERE

Look at the handy work of my amazing hubby!!!

The original post was of a shape of a heart made out of frames, but we adapted it into a 'D' between our two initials above our bed

He hung the 10 frames in between the beautiful grapevine letters his mother, Kari (etsy site HERE), crafted for us as a gift a few Christmas' ago!

I love seeing some fruit from all the hours I spend pinning my dream world on virtual boards.....
:)

What pinterest projects have you done in your house?!

draper garden 2011

The first post of our 2011 garden
We planted it Sunday May 22nd
Because I haven't yet figured out how to draw on my blog pictures I post - I will just tell you what is there!
2 tomato plants separated by a cilantro plant.  4 spinach plants and 4 zucchini plants.

Over here, beside our home we have a zillion raspberry plants (we began with 15 last year, not sure if we even had both male and female, but this year there are close to 50 and we have little flower buds!!!) 4 jalapeno plants and 1 hot garden pepper plant, and a bunch of chives transplated from Joel's parents.
(Also, our rocking climatis climbing!)
A different view showing off all the raspberries

 An above view of peppers

 And more raspberries
Updates to come!

What did you plant in your garden this year?
